Brexit and Visas

Most SEE students come to the UK without a visa and this will not change after Brexit:

Cultural Exchange Programmes

Students may enter as tourists and stay for up to 6 months.  You probably don’t need a visa as a tourist, please check HERE.

There are clear rules on what you can and can’t do.

College 16+ Programmes

If you are attending college for over 6 months, you will need a student route visa. The paperwork for this will be provided.

Private School Programmes

If you are attending a private (independent) school for over 6 months, you will need a student route visa. The paperwork for this will be provided.

British Buddies

Students may enter as tourists and stay for up to 6 months.  You probably don’t need a visa as a tourist, please check HERE.

You might need private health insurance to come to the UK, it depends on whether you are still registered with a health system in your own country. We generally recommend using private doctors in the UK apart from in an emergency. A private visit to a general doctor costs around £100.
